There are two design of volume for Epson 3800 3800C 3850 3880 3890 refill cartridges 

 80ML and 280ML 

The difference as following:

The 80ML cartridges: can be put into printer inside perfectly ,so see from outside, it looks more nice.

But disadvantage is that if you want to refill ink to cartridges, you need to take our them. 

The 280ML cartridges: shape likes handgun, part of cartridges expose outside,through looks not so beautiful,but add inks very convenient, you don't need to take out them and you can see the ink clearly.

These model refillable cartridges needs chip sensors, chip sensor works with original chip. 

You only need to add ink, then inkjet printer will work.
